Gold Fill is the closest alternative to solid gold.

Unlike gold-plated or gold vermeil jewelry, gold fill is made through a process called pressure & heat bonding. This means a thick layer of gold is essentially melted and pressurised onto the base metal making it extremely durable and tarnish resistant. Gold plated/ vermeil jewelry only has the gold flash dipped or painted on.

The thickness of Gold Fill vs gold plated/vermeil jewelry is up to 100% thicker.
Gold vermeil thickness can vary between less than 0.1 micron - 3+ microns of electroplated gold.
Gold Fill must have a minimum of 1/20 weight of solid gold in the jewelry piece to be considered Gold Filled. 
Simply put, even with the same amount of gold in the jewelry piece, the Gold Fill jewelry piece will last longer due to its manufacturing process.

All products are displayed in AUD (Australian Dollar). Your orders are processed in AUD, and is converted to the local currency via your bank or payment method.

We offer returns for all orders within 14 days of delivery. Please contact our Customer Service team via email hello@s-kin.com.au immediately if you would like to lodge a return. 

For health and safety reasons we do not accept returns for pierced earring jewelry. 
Returns postage will be at the buyer's expense. 
Please note: Sample Sale and Custom Orders (this includes Custom Initial Necklaces & Bracelets) are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for returns.

If you entered the wrong address at the time of placing your order or would like to amend the items in your order, please contact our Customer Service team immediately via email hello@s-kin.com.au with your #JW order number.
Please double check that all address and billing details are entered correctly at the time of check out as we are not liable to replace or resend your parcel if the shipment is returned to sender due to wrong address entered.

For Domestic Orders: If a tracking number has already been issued for your order, a $12 ''return to sender'' fee and a further $6 postage fee will be incurred. 

For International Orders: We are unable to reroute shipments once they have been shipped. 

If you would like to cancel your order, please email us immediately at hello@s-kin.com.au. If your order has not been shipped but a tracking number has been created, we will refund you the amount of your order minus the cost of shipping already incurred. 

If your order has already been shipped you will have to wait until it has arrived and then follow the steps to return as outlines in  Returns & Exchanges.

If you believe you have received incorrect or defective items in your order, please contact our Customer Service team via email at hello@s-kin.com.au immediately with your order number so we can try to rectify the problem for you asap. 

International customers (outside of Australia) are responsible to pay any applicable inbound duties, taxes, and any other fees outlined by local Customs authority. All international packages are shipped DDU (duties and taxes unpaid), meaning these fees are not included in the price of goods purchased from our website.
It is your responsibility to pay these fees in order to receive the parcel. We are unable to advise the amounts of what these fees might be, if applicable at all. Please contact your country's custom office for estimated charges and rates on packages coming from overseas.

All bespoke S-kin Studio Jewelry collections are made in Mumbai, India at our accredited ethical and sustainable factories. For non-collection based pieces, we source of materials from all over the world from ethically proven suppliers. These countries includes: USA, Brazil, Italy, India and of course, Australia.  We then construct all these pieces by hand in our Melbourne-based studio in Australia. Our Jewelry is made with a range of high-quality materials including: Gold Fill, Sterling Silver, Solid Gold, Precious Gemstones and Freshwater Pearls. You can absolutely wear our jewelry in water! You can also wear our pieces to sleep, in the shower and even in the sea. However, we do not recommend wearing gemstones or freshwater pearls in water as they may discolour, loosen and fall out over time. Learn more about which materials are suitable to wear in water here. Please remember to clean your jewelry after wearing it in water to maintain shine. 

We currently do not offer a fully customisable jewelry service for our customers. All of our piercing pieces are made with their own piercing backing, so we don’t have any extra ball-backs. However, we can arrange for a butterfly back to be shipped to you, at the cost of $10 standard Shipping (Within Aus).
