What is 1% For The Planet?

1% For The Planet is a movement that was created in 2002, by Patagonia founders Yvon Chouinard and Craig Mathews, which bands together a network of businesses that pledge environmental protection and conservation.

Businesses that join 1% for the Planet commit to giving 1% of gross sales each year to approved nonprofit partners through a variety of support. To date, there are more than 2,000 members, in over 45 countries, coming together to protect the future of our planet.
