2021. What a whirlwind of a year! From numerous lockdowns to moving offices and doubling our team members, 2021 was a crazy year for S-kin Studio Jewelry. Even though the year was filled with many highs and many lows, we are so grateful that we were able to see S-kin grow to new heights. So to conclude the year, we asked each team member what they've been grateful for in 2021 and what they are looking forward to at S-kin in 2022!

Chi, Creative Director

2021 has been a year filled with immense joy, stress, triumphs and much like everyone else, challenges. S-kin has been fortunate enough to experience much growth and success in the past year and for that I am sincerely grateful to our amazing team! As part of our expansion, we moved into a new office location in Cremorne and also had 5 new team members come onboard. I am also super grateful that my brother, Chinh, was finally able to re-enter Australia late this year to continue his studies and move in with me!

Next year I'm very much looking forward to continual growth at S-kin and the addition of more team members! I am also obviously very excited for the birth of my first child early next year and all the memories and experiences that will come with them!

Nicole, Marketing Coordinator

I am grateful for our new office space and team members! In the height of lockdown we were able to secure our new location in Cremorne and move into a stunning light filled space that allowed us to expand our capacity. In gaining this new space, we were able to see the the addition of 4 new team members who have helped in our growth significantly. It is so great to come into the office everyday and work with like minded people that are working towards the same goals! 

In 2022 we have a HUGE number of collections and limited edition drops that are scheduled to release. All bespoke and things you've been asking for, I can't wait to launch each of these unique collections! 

Sam, Inventory & Logistics Coordinator

I started working at S-kin in 2021 and it has been a wild ride! I've been able to learn so much and I'm incredibly grateful to be part of the growth of such a fun business! I am also super grateful for the health of myself and the people around me as we've all be able to stay safe and continue working throughout the pandemic.

Going into 2022 I am looking forward to potentially being able to travel again and going overseas! I am also really excited to see our team grow and have even more people helping with the creation and delivery of new collections.

Gia, Marketing Assistant 

I started working at S-kin in late 2021 and I have not looked back! My new role has been filled with many challenges and new experiences and it's all accumulatively been really fun. Frankly, I'm just really glad that we are out of lockdown and able to start living our lives to the fullest again! 

Next year I'm looking forward to the potential of travelling again and catching up with people that I haven't seen in a long time. I think everyone is just very happy to get their mojo back and have a sense of normality in their lives again. I can't wait to see what the future of S-kin holds!

Emma, Retail & E-commerce Assistant 

With the prevalence of COVID-19 across the world this year I'm really grateful for my health and the health of those around me. This meant that even during lockdowns I could continue university and spend more time with my family. I was also fortunate enough to get my new job here at S-kin Studio which has been a wonderful change and learning experience! 

Next year will be my last year of university so I'm extremely excited to finish off my degree! I also look forward to spending some time potentially travelling and seeing family overseas. As for S-kin, I look forward to all the in person events that are we planning for 2022!

Haleena, Retail & E-commerce Assistant 

During 2021 we had to close our retail store many times due to COVID-19. Since the relaxing of restrictions, I have really enjoyed assisting and meeting customers in-store! I love a good conversation, so it makes a huge difference to my day when I get to meet someone new and have a great chat! We've also added a number of team members this and everyone just adds such a positive energy to the office. 

For 2022 I'm really excited to be hosting more collection launch events and having a piercer in-store so I can get even more ear piercings!

Sammi, Retail Assistant 

I only started working at S-kin recently but it's been really amazing to see the behind the scenes of this small business. I'm really grateful that I've been able to join S-kin during the height of the holiday season and I've learnt so much! I'm also grateful that I've been able to return to campus for university, hang out with my friends and meet my classmates in person. 

Next year I'm looking forward to going to more live music events and learning how to make all the jewelry pieces at S-kin Studio so I can master all the various jewelry making techniques!
