Wow! What a year it has been and how amazing it is to celebrate such a wonderful year coming to a close. Chi here - coming to you with a recap of what happened at S-kin Studio this year...

Over 8 Collections and 100+ Products released this year

2022 was such a flourishing year creatively for me as we released 8 new collections and various capsules throughout the year, with over 100 products added to our range. From Lunar New Year in January to Engravable in November, there was so much to love this year on the design front. We released a collaboration collection this year with muse Paola Cossentino and expanded on our well-loved Piercings Collection. With such a busy year, it's hard for me to choose a favourite collection I designed this year. Some of your favourites in the year were our amazing Birthstones collection as well as our first ever Solid Gold Collection. 

Five events in our new Cremorne Flagship space

You may remember we moved to our new (and bigger!) showroom and office space in late 2021. This year, we brought together friends (aka you guys!) old and new to experience the S-kin Studio space through events, activations, and services. I'm so excited to be able to continue to deliver amazing events here, such as our sold-out Piercings Carnival, our relaxed Sunday Markets, and of course glitz and glamour Solid Gold Cocktail Event. 

Welcoming our Services

Following a year full of ups and downs with lockdowns in Victoria, 2022 saw us opening our store and welcoming you to experience our new amazing services. From Infinite Permanent Welded Bracelets, to the well-loved Piercings station &  Jewellery workshops, we also added our Engravable jewellery as a service late this year. I also had the pleasure to take some of these services interstate to our Sydney friends, with our pop up in Byron and Bondi. I can't wait to do another tour oh so soon!

Welcoming new team members!

This year, the S-kin team grew from 8 at the beginning of the year to 11! We're so grateful to all your support for our small business that has allowed us to make this happen. Hooray!

Donated over $20,000 as part of our commitment to 1% for the Planet

We're so excited to be able to not only donate such a big amount this year, but to also be able to contribute on our Volunteering days to our partner organisations. Earlier this year, we planted over 500 trees in the You Yangs as part of our support for our friends at Koala Clancy Foundation, and recently spent a day helping all our animal friends at RSPCA Victoria! Ethics, sustainability and the environment have always been a big part of my mission for S-kin, and I am so proud to be able to have the space and team to facilitate some of these amazing achievements. 

Becoming a mother

A big part of this year was that I had the absolute joy of bringing Felix to the world! He's now part of our wonderful S-kin family and I am so grateful to my incredible team who allowed me to have such a smooth transition to motherhood. Any small business owner knows how hard it is to take time off of your business - and I was so lucky to be able to spend some time in the early days with Felix as a newborn and continue to work flexibly throughout the year. 

And a business baby too!

This year, we welcomed By S-kin, my business baby! Part of the S-kin Studio brand umbrella, we released two pieces of merch in By S-kin's first collection this year. All about lifestyle pieces that consciously elevate your every day, there's so much more planned for this second brand, we can't wait to show you more!

Here's what to look forward to in 2023

With such an amazing year in 2022, we can't wait to share with you what we have for 2023. Look forward to some amazing collections that are signature to S-kin's story-driven, timeless aesthetic. As we celebrate our 5th birthday this upcoming year, look forward to some key changes to our look and feel. Plus, we can't wait to show you what we have in store for new events, services, and travel! 

I want to take this opportunity to also thank you for your incredible support for myself, the S-kin team, and our small business this year.
