Adelina Flat Choker Necklace

The style is so cute, but the necklace I received was making my skin red and itchy by the second wear! It also turned my skin very green, like so green that cleaning it off with a cloth you could see it on the towel. I had to take a shower right away. I have other gold filled jewelry and this never happens. I even have another necklace from here that I bought at the same time and it causes no issues after many wears (including a music festival recently where I sweat for hours). This necklace though I wore in air conditioning and no physical activity whatsoever and it clearly caused an allergic reaction. I've tried bringing it up with customer service since it goes against every single claim this website and brand makes, but we're stuck in some long back and forth conversation with no confirmed offer of replacement or refund. The team is really sweet and kind, but it doesn't meet the professional standards I've experienced with other companies who prioritize a customer's experience. The FAQ section makes it sound like you will be taken care of quickly if something like this were to happen, but so far it sounds like they have to confirm something is wrong with the manufacturer before exchanging the item--very TBD. Most companies just acknowledge there is an issue and immediately send you a replacement or process a refund--especially when you are experiencing physical harm, but it feels like I'm having to convince them that's the right thing to do lol. Like I'm the one asking for several different ways to resolve the issue vs. them just being like "oh sh*it that's awful to hear, let's get you a better product ASAP!". I feel like I'm having to convince someone I'm not lying or something. Which why would I be anyway when I never even asked for a refund, just to exchange it in hopes that a different necklace would have proper coating or a different style could absolutely confirm the use of hypoallergenic base metals. This only happens to my skin with super cheap stuff like plated items with worn off plating. Anyway ~ for $116 you're better off trying a different brand or putting that money towards something solid gold. I did have good luck with their square snake chain necklace I mentioned though! Just know it can be hit or miss and you have to be okay with possibly throwing away money and time.
