Gold-filled is not suitable for initial piercings as your skin is ultra sensitive when freshly pierced, and mixed metals in gold-filled jewellery can irritate and slow down the recovery of your piercing. We only use 14k Solid Gold for your initial piercing at your appointment.

You'll have the chance to discuss your placement with our qualified piercer at your slot/appointment on the day. Please note we can only pierce ears (no other parts of the body) 

Healing time is dependant on the placement of your piercing, for example lobe piercings can take up to 8 weeks to fully heal, while cartilage piercings can take up to 6 months.

To help your piercing heal quickly and avoid bumps and infection, follow the below care tips:
- Spray your piercing area with saline water morning and night, making sure to dry the area with hair dryer once soaked in
- Avoid touching, twisting, turning or changing jewellery within the healing period
- Avoid sleeping on the piercing as this can cause bumps
- Always wash your hands before you touch your piercing area
- Use a q-tip or similar to gently clean down your earring once a week to avoid debris from collecting inside your piercing.
- Consult a doctor if you are having an infection as a result of the piercing. 

Caring for your piercing is very important - to avoid issues from occuring to your piercing please follow your care guide given to you at the time of appointment. In case of infection or if you have any concerns, please consult your doctor.
